Apex Note: This blog is part of a series we're doing with some of our real estate partners spotlighting some of the great communities in our area!  Thanks to Filomena Thompson with Re/Max Results for this great piece on Monrovia.

Monrovia is part of Frederick County located along MD route 75, route 80, and just about all of Ed McClain Road. Our town is prominently located near New Market, Urbana, Mount Airy, and parts of Montgomery County. It’s known for its commuter-friendly routes with easy access to I-270 and I-70. A commuter’s dream location: enjoy rural living with the amenities of city living nearby.

Looking to move in?

You will find many styles of homes in our neighborhoods. Whether you are looking for a private setting, a luxurious home, a cozy rancher or a planned community to raise your family, we’ve got a home for you right here in Monrovia.

How to get started

Whether you are a first-time homebuyer or an experienced owner, buying a house requires what I call a “pre-flight checklist." Our checklist will include some of these items:

  • Connecting with a lender that can determine what you can afford
  • Determining what type of loan is best for you
  • Reviewing what it means to submit an offer
  • Figuring out closing cost expense
  • Calculating your out of pocket expenses
  • Ensuring that you are well represented by a professional realtor to protect you and your interest
