Farmers markets aren’t just for fruits and veggies anymore! These days, when you attend farmers markets expect to discover vendors that sell anything from snowballs and spices, to soaps and teas! Howard County features several farmers markets that make for a perfect family outing. So enjoy a morning (or afternoon) with your family and explore all of the fresh food the area has to offer! Howard County Traveling Farmers Markets
Howard County Farmers Market travels to different locations during the week to provide you the ultimate convenience, no matter where you are! Depending on which market you are attending, vendors can include anything from produce to pizza. There are four separate markets:
- Wednesday Farmers Market: Miller Branch Library (2-6 PM)
- Friday Farmers Market: Howard County General Hospital (11:30-4:30 PM)
- Saturday Farmers Market: Maple Lawn (9 AM-1 PM)
- Sunday Farmers Market: Oakland Mills Village Center (9 AM-1 PM)
These markets run until late October, providing the best fresh produce of both the summer and fall season. For more information on the markets, check their website.
Frank’s Produce & Greenhouse
Frank’s is a local favorite that offers flowers and plants grown in their eight greenhouses, as well as produce from their farm and nearby vendors. Their flowers are available in many different kinds of arrangements, and you are welcome to explore the greenhouses on the property. They even offer Christmas trees and wreaths in December! Ellicott City Old Town Market
Located in the heart of downtown Ellicott City, this market features a unique variety of products for every occasion! Pickles, salsa, meats, Belgian waffles, jams and even gluten-free pastries are available for purchase, among other delicious food options. The market also includes soaps, health products, and art, and it features live performances by local musicians. Stop by Saturdays from 9 AM-1 PM to see everything this market has to offer! The Farmers Market at River Hill
Brand new this spring, the River Hill market has everything: produce, flowers, artwork, and even...wait for it… food trucks! Try foods from around the world, all made locally for you, while browsing the market on Saturday mornings this summer. Vendor information and more here.

Glenwood Community Farmers Market
Another local favorite, the Glenwood Farmers Market has something for everyone. Vendors create their own weekly food specials for the community to try, and include many dairy-free and gluten-free options. Stop by Saturday mornings! Find more on their Facebook page.
