Stewart Zemil started in the mortgage business in 1992 as a loan officer. As a result of his honesty, integrity and dedication to his customer's satisfaction, Stewart quickly developed a large following of satisfied customers who consistently return to do business with him and refer their friends. Stewart has earned the designation of Certified Mortgage Planner, which speaks to his expertise in working with accountants and financial planners to properly advise their clients on mortgage related matters.

Prior to entering the mortgage business, Stewart worked in the finance world as a CFO, where he developed an expertise in accounting and financial management. While working in the mortgage business, Stewart also served as a loan underwriter, which makes him uniquely qualified to proactively structure mortgages that will be approved.

On top of originating mortgages, Stewart currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Apex Home Loans. In that capacity, he oversees the daily operations of the company and manages both the mortgage and financial operations of the firm.

Stewart is an active member of the Maryland Association of Mortgage Professionals and the National Association of Mortgage Brokers.

Stewart graduated from the University of Maryland in 1981 with a BS in Accounting. He lives in Gaithersburg , Maryland with his wife Carla and has three children, Dina, Nicholas, and Victoria. In his free time, Stewart enjoys relaxing at the beach, spending time with friends and family, and playing golf.
