Larry has been in Real Estate Finance and Sales serving homeowners and homebuyers in Maryland and surrounding states for over 25 years.
He joined Apex Home Loans in 2009 after winding down operations at Legend Mortgage Corporation, a company he founded and operated from 1996 to 2009. Apex Home Loans is the culmination of a group of highly respected and successful Mortgage Professionals in the Washington DC metro area. Bringing the experience, expertise and many talents together under one company will grant us greater opportunity to expand our geographical footprint and lending capabilities to include FHA and VA loans, over and above the conventional loan programs we have always provided.
In 1999 Larry achieved and continues to maintain the highly regarded designation of "Certified Residential Mortgage Specialist", a designation sponsored by the National Association of Mortgage Brokers and held by less than 1% of Mortgage Brokers nationally, setting him apart from the rest of the pack. Larry is Past President of The Maryland Association of Mortgage Professionals where he sits on the Ethics Committee, is Chairman of the Federal Legislative Committee and represents the fine state of Maryland at the National Association of Mortgage Professionals as Delegate Council. Larry was awarded Maryland Association of Mortgage Professionals Broker of the Year in 2006 and received the President's award in 2007.
Larry proudly served his country as a U.S. Marine from 1981-1985 . He is very active in the community, including The Olney Lions Club, The American Legion, The Marine Corps League and Habitat for Humanity. He has been a Trustee for Hospice Caring since 1999, currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Coastal Conservation Association of Maryland, Potomac Chapter and is a member of Oakdale Emory United Methodist Church . Larry and his wife Lynn live in Rockville , MD and have 5 children. His hobbies include Golf, Fishing, Boating, Gardening and mostly spending time with his family & friends.
