Mortgage Underwriter:
Apex Home Loans, Inc. is the largest independent mortgage company headquartered in Montgomery County, offering an opportunity with growth potential.
Duties:
- The Underwriter reviews and underwrites mortgage files to investor underwriting guidelines.
- Strictly adheres to specified underwriting guidelines to fulfill government (FHA and VA) loans.
- Promptly and accurately reviews files within specified timelines to issue initial and final approvals.
- Ensures accuracy between file, LOS and final AUS findings.
- Responsible for meeting productivity goals.
Job Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Minimum of 3 years of government underwriting experience, including FHA & VA
- Excellent computer skills are a MUST!
- FHA: Direct Endorsement – a MUST!
- VA: LAPP - SAR a plus

Mortgage Processor:
Apex Home Loans, Inc. is the largest independent mortgage company headquartered in Montgomery County, offering an opportunity with growth potential.
Duties:
- The processor will verify and validate all initial information and compile verified documentation for submission to underwriter within the specific product/lock deadlines.
- Communication with Loan Originators and third party companies is required.
- Upload all documents into electronic delivery system on a “when received” basis
- Open all files in a timely manner and send out all required disclosures within three days of application. When Loan Originator completes disclosure package, verify for accuracy.
- The ability to work independently, seeking regulations when and as necessary.
- Thorough knowledge of all programs within the Apex Home Loans, Inc. pricing software.
- Work in accordance with lock guidelines and program guidelines to affect closing in a timely fashion.
- Maintain courteous customer service internally and with third party vendors and customers.
- After submission to the underwriter, and upon a decision from the underwriter, obtain and submit all underwriting conditions prior to clear to close.
- All Processors should be able to multi-task, handling 25 to 50 files per month, depending on loan type.
Job Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent computer skills are a MUST!
- Minimum of 3 years of processing experience, including FHA & VA

- Communication with Title companies, settlement agents, realtors and clients to identify closing date and time once an approved file has been received.
- Prepare funding advises and coordinate with Accounting for file funding.
- Determine from the CFO, which warehouse line will be utilized for the daily fundings.
- Provide accounting with the net funding package for each loan that is funded.
- Data integrity is a critical portion of the Closer's position, review files at each state for accuracy.
- Work independently, seeking regulations when and as necessary.
- Work in accordance with lock guidelines, and program guidelines to affect closing in a timely fashion.
- Maintain courteous customer service internally and with third party vendors and customers.
- Stay abreast of all updates to closing system, products, and regulations.
- Deliver package to investors and follow up with suspense items.
- All Closers should be able to close 8 files per day, and fund 10 files per day with a high degree of accuracy.
Job Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent computer skills are a MUST!
- Minimum of 2 years of closing experience, including FHA & VA .
